As of February 2026, OpenVM v1.5.0 and later are recommended for production use. OpenVM completed manual security reviews through external audits on Cantina and an internal audit by members of the Axiom team. As of February 2026, the OpenVM RV32IM extension has been formally verified in Lean by Nethermind Research. All audit reports for OpenVM are available on the OpenVM GitHub.
